Welcome!‎ > ‎

Harvest Festival

This weekend, all are welcome to join us at our Harvest Festival Service at 11.15 followed by a Bring and Share Lunch. The service has a seed theme and there is the chance to make a sunflower to decorate the family area. The service will start with the blessing of our composting toilet - and the news of where our "twinned toilets" are around the world - following our successful fundraising effort. The flower group will have decorated the church and visitors and congregation are welcome to bring either fresh or tinned food. The fresh food will be available for a donation after the service, and the proceeds given to the Aberdeen Cyrenians. The tinned produce will go to the food bank. It is a communion service and will feature a new composition by Sheila Maxwell our organist, based on a poem by Vittoria Hancock, our Rector - "Brambles". The service will have lots of lovely music led by our choir with extra singers and will mark the launch of the Maxwell Collection - a book featuring compositions by Sheila over the years - a fantastic publication to mark her special birthday - only £10.
So lot's to see and do - all welcome.
