A new Curate

It was wonderful to be at Kincardine O'Neill on the 13th July for the ordination of Dr David Greenwood. The service was a great celebration of life and ministry.

David and his family come to Deeside from the US via Edinburgh, where they have been living and working for the last 5 years. He is married to Staci and they have two children.

David is going to be working with the Rev Lisa Eunson as curate of Banchory and Kincardine O'Neill. A curacy is a training post, usually lasting 3 years. After academic study, this provides practical training for ministry. At the service on Sunday, David was ordained deacon. He will remain a deacon for the first year of his ministry, after which he will be ordained priest.

It is wonderful to have him here on Deeside. Please pray for him and his family as they settle in to life here, and for David as he begins his new ministry.
