  1. Thank you to all those who supported the ecumenical service at Glenmuick Church in Ballater today. It was good to see so many familiar faces.
  2. Aboyne-Dinnet Church are planning to collect for Tearfund through organising a “line of silver” outside the shops in Aboyne. This will now be on Saturday 29th August between 10 am and 12 noon as it was postponed on Saturday 15th August because of bad weather. Please look out for us and see how the line of silver grows! Tearfund will use this money to help vulnerable people across the Middle East. We thank you for your support.
  3. Vittoria will be having two and a half days off next week! If you need anything urgently from Wednesday to Saturday lunchtime, please contact Stuart Yarnell on 013397 54018. Thank you.
  4. Anne is going to be away next week and is starting to organise the next vestry meeting before she goes. (Tanardale, 7.30 pm, Wednesday 2nd September.) If anyone has anything to raise please contact a member of the vestry, or I can put it on the agenda if you contact me this week.
  5. Here is the link to the annual report and accounts of the Province (whole of Scotland): http://www.scotland.anglican.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/32nd-Annual-Report-for-the-year-ended-31-December-2014.pdf.
  6. Also a message from Henna on Diocesan Youth work which some will find interesting: "The Diocese now has a Youth Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/aoyouthnetwork. On this page, young people, parents and youth work teams can be kept informed of events for young Christians around the Diocese.  There will also be a weekly Bible study for Teens: "God on Monday" which will begin on Monday 17th August. Please encourage young people in your worshipping communities to go to https://www.facebook.com/aoyouthnetwork and click 'Like' and 'Follow' to receive this weekly teaching. If anyone would prefer to receive "God on Monday" via e-mail (young people under the age of 13 should not be using Facebook, except on their parent's log-in with a parent's permission) please drop me a line at youthandchildren@aberdeen.anglican.org and I will add it to the mailing list."
