  1. Vittoria is away leading a retreat, so there will be no morning prayer service in St Thomas’s for the next two weeks (Wednesday 24th September and 1st October).
  2. The Sunday serviceon the 28th September will be taken by Stuart Yarnell.
  3. Harvest Festival is a Family Service on Sunday 5th October.  Jinny and the flower team will be preparing on Saturday 4th October. Donations of flowers and fruit would be welcome.
  4. Because Vittoria is away for 5th October there will be a harvest lunch on Sunday 19th October after she returns. This will be a bring-and-share lunch in the church after the service. Jo Elson has nobly agreed to lead on this and will be looking for a support team.
  5. The coffee rota has been creaking a bit over summer and Vittoria made an appeal for volunteers. One has come forward, take a bow Mary, and will be added into the rota with a buddy to start off. Can we have another volunteer, to work either with Mary or a buddy from the existing rota. Then we have a new pair. The commitment would be once every 6 weeks or so.
  6. We have new candlesticks for the side altar. Ed Horton made them out of fallen beechwood. They are beautifully turned and polished, do go and have a look. It’s so good to have things in the church made by our own members.
  7. There was a vestry meeting last week and I attach extracts from the draft minutes for your interest. Also 'The Year Ahead'.
Anne Harper – Vestry Secretary
