Church Services

  1. This Sunday, 28th July, John Lovie will be taking Holy Communion at 11.15. We're enormously grateful to the Lay Readers for taking these services for us.
  2. This Sunday 28th July, Evening of Praise and Music 18.30. Sheila Maxwell, the St Thomas's augmented choir and some readings.

  1. I have had a card from James and Alice which I'll put up in the church. It reads: ' Dear lovely St Thomas's friends, Thank you for your kindness, good wishes and generosity. We have been completely overwhelmed by your love and care for us and thank you for making our last sevice on Deeside so special - both sweet and sad at the same time. Please keep in touch. We will always remember you and our time on Deeside with great fondness. With Love, James and Alice.'
  2. Thanks to Daphne and her team for cleaning the church. No great burden on a lovely summer's morning but we can all remember some cold days when you had to rub faster to keep warm. (Note, N&N can only thank people if I know about their efforts. Team leaders - for cleaning, flowers, coffee, catering and all the rest, please let me know.)
  3. I see St Thomas's is now an Art Gallery, and station on the Festival Sculpture Trail. Scupture by our friends from Birse and Feughside, down to the south by the lych-gate. We must do something ourselves next year. I volunteer an enormous coffee urn to symbolise hospitality. What can others do? Now's your chance STOMP!
