  1. Vittoria is away leading as retreat, so there is no Morning Prayer service this week on 1st October.
  2. Next Sunday, 5th October is a Family Service and Harvest Festival.  The church will be decorated Saturday am. Donations of fruit, flowers, etc., are welcome.
  3. On 19th October, after Vittoria’s return, we’ll hold a bring-and-share Harvest Lunch in the church after the service.  Jo has nobly agreed to lead on this and will be looking for a support team.
  4. Sue has been preparing the WW1 Concert Party, songs, magical tricks and readings around the story of her grandfather, magician, soldier and cyclist.  Period dress optional for the audience.  This takes place Saturday, 11th October at 7.30 pm in the Victory Hall. Tickets cost £8 and are available from Sue (013398 86019) or the Paper Shop on Charlestown Road, Aboyne. Proceeds to Poppyscotland.  Not only Sue and her family but several of the choir have been involved.
  5. A copy of Centrepost for October is attached.
  6. Message from Mary McKinnell, Diocesan IT officer:

‘Hello everyone

There is to be a Diocesan IT day on Saturday 22 November at St Mary's Church in Inverurie. It will be a 10:00 for 10:30 start and will finish by 3:00pm.

The day will let us come together to explore where we are in terms of what we are doing IT wise as a Diocese, and also look at what congregations are doing, how each church can make best use of the internet for their own needs and outreach, and lastly, to provide an opportunity to share and develop ideas and experiences with each other.

Please encourage those in your congregations responsible for your website, or for using social media in your church to come and join us. Those who I know are involved in running congregational websites will receive a separate email (so apologies if you receive an invitation twice).

Lunch will be provided, so please also let me know if you have any dietary requirements.

If you wish to come, please RSVP to Mary McKinnell, Diocesan IT Officer -, or 07805 353252.’
