  3. Message from Hugh: Events for the Dean’s Walk on Tuesday 6th May 2014
    (I)     1-30 pm at St Thomas’ Church Aboyne:  The Dean’s walking companion Stephen Boon is expected to arrive at St Thomas’ at 1-30 pm with the Icon. There will be a short gathering for prayers and the display of the Icon and Stephen will then proceed towards Tarland by the Tarland Way. The Dean himself who has to officiate at a funeral that afternoon, will not be present at Aboyne that day, but all who do attend at Aboyne are invited to join Stephen and walk to Tarland with him for the event there.
(II)  5-30 pm at St Moluag’s ruined Church, The Square, Tarland:  By this time, the Dean is expected to have rejoined Stephen. It is also expected that the Reverend Frank Ribbons, minister of Cromar Church will join the Dean at St Moluag’s with some of his parishioners. The Icon will again be displayed and there will be a formal but short service of prayer to which the Media have also been invited. Members of St Thomas’ and others who have not walked to Tarland are warmly invited to go to Tarland by car, and also to drive the walkers back to Aboyne!
