News and Notices - Sunday 8th December

posted 8 Dec 2013, 11:42 by St. Thomas' Church Aboyne   [ updated 8 Dec 2013, 11:43 ]
  1. As noted yesterday, there are trees down in the churchyard and paths are unsafe. Some work has been done in clearing up but there is still a lot to do and paths are roped off.  Until further notice, please access the church using the entrance on Bridgeview Road.
  2. There will be mid-week communion during Advent on Wednesdays 11th and 18th December at 09.30 am.
  3. A reminder that on Sunday, 15th December there will be STomp with communion at 10 am, there will be no 11.15 am service and at 6 pm there will be the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols with +Bob.
  4. On Sunday 22nd December, we will have the 11.15 am service as usual and our friend Andrew Wilson, who worships with us regularly and sings in the choir, is preaching.
  5. The St Thomas's Annual Report is attached. This consists of the reports made orally at the AGM on 24nd November and should be read together with the financial report previously distributed. It is an extraordinary amount of work done in the course of the year by the vestry and advisory groups, and it doesn't cover everything by any means.
