Services and Events this week:

  • Tuesday 2nd December, 10am - Advent Eucharist, St Thomas'
  • Wednesday 3rd December, 9am - Morning Prayer, St Thomas'
  • Thursday 4th December, 10am - Advent Eucharist, St Kentigern's
  • Sunday 7th December
    • 9.30am - Holy Communion, St Kentigern's
    • 11.15am - Christingle Service, St Thomas'. (Sue asks, please wear something sparkly for the service. Meeting in Sue’s house 10-12 am Saturday to make the Christingles. Please bring sweets.)


  1. Aberdeen Cyrenians – as part of our Advent offerings, we are collecting hats, scarves, gloves etc for the Aberdeen Cyrenians. There is a box at the back of church for you to place your donations in if you would like to do so.
  2. Saturday 6th December 2014 – there are three events in the local area that we have been asked to advertise:-
    1. The Deeside Choristers will be leading a torchlit procession from the War memorial in Tarland to Cromar Parish Church for a service of lessons and carols. Meet at the memorial at 3.45pm, or the church at 4.15pm.
    2. At St Anne's in Kemnay the Aberdeen Singers will be leading a service of Advent Carols and Readings, starting at 7pm.
    3. There will be a Grand Variety Concert at Tornaveen Hall, starting 8pm, Vittoria will be singing.
  3. There will be a service at the Cathedral on Wednesday 17th December at 6pm to celebrate 20 years of the ordination of women to the priesthood, and to say goodbye to the Rev Richard Kilgour, the Provost. All are warmly invited to attend. Poster attached.
  4. We are asked to pray especially for the Armenian Church (called St. Jackob’s) in Bethlehem located in the Church of the Nativity. Pray for them especially at this time with lack of resources and the escalating problems and suffering in the Holy Land.
