Notices:

  1. Aberdeen Cyrenians – as part of our Advent offerings, we are collecting hats, scarves, gloves etc for the Aberdeen Cyrenians. There is a box at the back of church for you to place your donations in if you would like to do so.
  2. A reminder about the Coffee Morning Balmuir (looks similar to a castle and next to the Tarland Golf Club) Tarland from 10 am – 12 noon on Saturday, 13th December.  There will be a Book Stall so if you would like to re-cycle any of your books, please give them to Mary Donald.It is to raise money for Pamela Clark, Supervisor of the Douneside Leisure Centre, to go to South Africa to teach swimming in deprived areas - there is a problem of children drowning there as they have never have had a chance to learn to swim.  It will be a great atmosphere - please come!
  3. There will be a service at the Cathedral on Wednesday 17th December at 6pm to celebrate 20 years of the ordination of women to the priesthood, and to say goodbye to the Rev Richard Kilgour, the Provost. All are warmly invited to attend.
  4. Dates for the diary: Please see flyers available in church for details of services over Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany.
  5. There will be refreshments after the carol service this week and all contributions are welcome, eg plate of mince pies, sandwiches cakes or a bottle of wine. There will be a non-alcoholic fruit punch as an alternative to wine.
  6. Jinny is doing the church windows with holly and ivy before the Carol Service on Saturday 13th December. Say around 10 am if you want to help.
