"On the Way" - 31st August 2014 at Kincardine O’Neil

The Deeside Way is a walking trail, and so much more. As we pass through towns, villages, and rich landscapes we also travel through eons of geologic time and centuries of human habitation and economic and spiritual heritage. Anyone with a vested interest in this land and community has a part to play in interpreting that walk better to reveal the richness of this place. Join others from Deeside as we consider the ways we might develop this thoroughfare together.

2pm – 5.30pm: at Kincardine House, Kincardine O’Neil

Primary guest speakers will include members of the Scottish Pilgrim Routes Forum who can describe the way other walking trails have been developed to enhance local enterprise; representatives from local government; and St Thomas, Aboyne’s own Anne Harper to paint a verbal picture of our local history. There will be time for group discussion, and input from a panel representing local businesses, estates, churches, schools, and community and heritage groups.

6.00 – 8.00pm: at Christ Church

Songs and stories celebrating our local life, followed by refreshments and chat.

To reserve a place for the afternoon events, please contact the Rev Lisa Eunson at or 01330 822783.
