Message from the Rev Canon Lisa Eunson:

‘As my friends, I know you'll rejoice with me that I am finally able to offer some of the courses promised over two years ago, and funded by a provincial grant. As my neighbours, I'm particularly hoping you'll encourage members of your own congregations to attend.’

The use of pastoral visitors who visit in the name of the Church requires a shared understanding of guidelines and an agreed process of identify need and planning those visits.

This day is open to those actual or potential visitors. It covers some of the basics of good practice in this vital ministry and is designed to build confidence and understanding. There will be a follow-up day in the late summer/early autumn to look more closely at things such as dementia and bereavement care, and reflect on what has come up from the first session.

Alison Clark, Learning and Congregational Development Officer of A&I will facilitate.

We do ask that you have the invitation of your Rector or Priest-in-Charge to come along, to assure mutual understanding of your gifts and potential ministry in your own congregation. If you would like to attend, or just think about the idea, please speak to Vittoria.
