April/May 2013

STomp continued in full swing in April and May.  The April session was 25 strong and we had fun writing up the "good things" that we all promised to do, with a chocolate heart as a reward for when we had done them or an incentive to remind us to do them!  We had a smaller number in May, but had fun as Sue Burgess reminded us about Ascension, which we visualised by studying the picture of Jesus ascending into Heaven in the east window and by making flicker books showing the action, and Pentecost, whose meaning we debated, but from the Greek means 50 days after Easter Sunday and is the day that the Church was literally born and is also the birthday of St Thomas's Aboyne!

Yes, we enjoyed birthday cake. Thanks Sue!

The next STomps will be on:
  • 16th June – Father’s Day – celebrate God the Father with craft and song
  • 21st July – Be a Fruitcake – find out about food in the Bible
  • 18th August – Outside the church– Sausage sizzle and Games/Treasure Hunt.
