November & December 2012 and January 2013

The theme of 'STomp' continued on Sunday 18th November with the letter "O", having covered "S" and "T" in previous months. Sue plied the attendees with Hula Hoops and polo mints and asked us "is there a hole in your life?" We celebrated the fact that God could fill it and then Caroline led a craft activity, creating brightly coloured and textured posters of the letters of STomp. We had 20 adults and children in all, which was excellent.

In December, Chris explored the myriad of marvellous possibilities of the letter "M", with a suprising number of festive words including Messiah, Mary, Music and Mince Pies, but primarily the story of the Magi as retold in Matthew's Gospel.  Afterwards, those present had fun decorating the Christmas Tree.

The first STomp of 2013 took place on 20th January, despite the snow and ice!  Isobel led a discussion on "P" for Prayer, rounding off the 'STomp' theme, and provided materials and ideas for everyone to make beautiful prayer hands, some of which can be seen at the back of the Church.  We all said the STomp prayer and also the Lord's Prayer and agreed that praying can take place at anytime, anywhere and about anything.  Amen!

See you at 10.00 am on the third Sunday of next month!
