Pentecost May 2016

posted 23 May 2016, 02:19 by St. Thomas' Church Aboyne
What a busy STomp! First we had to build the tower of Babel - luckily we had an expert builder to help with the construction. Then we had to hide in a locked room and experience the wind of the Holy Spirit blowing through ( a den made with a clothes maid and a sheet - and a powerful fan). We lit nightlights to represent the tongues of fire. We said "Hello" in lots of different languages. The noisiest part was proclaiming "Jesus is Lord" through our paper megaphones as we paraded around the church, finishing with a lovely song to the Skye Boat Song tune - "Spirit of God".
Everyone was involved and had a great time. Thanks to the team.
